Time - Jumps 1996 - 2010

~

See it as the beginning rather then the end.

See it as a playground in the future
.........in the light of coming generations
with fresh input
of your seeds.

Be a life model
of transparent times.

Blogging for or to myself means to keep your 'sketch-book' open.  Yet I do not work as freely
as in paper made sketch-books of the past era, i.e. before the internet.
The 'Open-End' ideas, this one to one cable to the universe is now so loaded
with layers of millions and millions blogging....

The following picture is a typical page from one of my
"Last Century Sketch-books"
The norm book was one per month, variation in thickness
and subjects and media..

 "Fly-City" 1996
Was actually a sketch for a sculpture I made out of plexi glass and motherboards.
To be joined in the series of "Memo-Cities of Past Futures"..

Anyway time to take another bright-night sleep via Midnight Sun.
Love and blessings from Reykjavík.

Snorra - Edda

The three year old boy asked me:

Why does he wear a long dress?

The temptation to say:
"Maybe he was a cross-dresser"
:-)
But instead replied: "This is a coat"!

 "The Masters Shadow"

Snorri Sturluson who wrote the Snorra - Edda
lived in Reykholt, Borgarfjörður.  For further info: www.reykholt.is

Freyr liked the exploring the School site
his Great grandfather Páll studied @ 80 + yrs ago.
But it got more interesting when we met the Pastor of Reykholt today:

"Signature"

"Pastoral arrangement"

"Snorrastofa"

Museum visit

The museum at Reykholt had three exhibits in running, the one
on women and politics was very informative:)  enjoy!

The merging Eye

As a former 'full-time' painter I get those urges to paint when the situation is not at hand to make the mess, set up canvases and squeeze oil tubes.  But technically it brings out NEW ways of painting...
Here the first photo is from series of EXPLORING the EYE of "The Bloggers-Room" :) ..Just to invent something to jump from the box to the ethers of the internet.

Next exploration last week was painting via digital by using a copper plate ~ got really into this one..  Large Prints available!

The third jump with the eager painters eye is the nature.   It is worth making a three hour drive for a FIND like this tunnel with view to the ocean....And flip it over make it a space ride, or hike:)
