Mon Amore Reykjavik 2009

This is my latest hands on activity to post in one of the windows of my
home gallery a piece from the series "Abstact of the homes". Couple of
nabors gave very good compliments so now it feels natural to have a
curtain made out of recycled boxes from house products. This is soon to
be a product of larger and wider scale though the 'Cladding of the BANK'
did not get realized as planned for the Cultural Event of Reykjavik, last
month.

"Moi Recycled" happy on a sunny day:)

"And after the rain"
we went for a Sunday drive
In the outskirts of Reykjavík
and this is what we found:

"Speechless" to say but little
Today the colors of the construction balls @ the ball factory were beautiful!
An obsession for some years now, to select and use for artwork or play:)

May 2009

Thirty four photos in a mixer from the month of May.
I was in Art Residency in Nes, Skagaströnd, North Iceland.
Came home with few hundred photographs and fond memories
of meeting interesting international artist and the local hosting people.
The pictures of the people come later.
This is about the inspiration of the nature and findings and the 'play'.
In other words, the art-work in making.
Upon arraival, my plan was to work on a project called "The Abstract
of The Homes".   But after visiting a fish skin factory in Sauðárkrókur,
and the intimacy with the rocky beach, the ever-blowing wind and all
the other textures belonging to the fishing village of Skagaströnd.
Also the "rabbabari" (rhubarb) growing in front of the residency house.
The media I used apart from the camera is fish-leather for sculpture
and fashion inspiration.  Rocks for architectural studies plus, plus.
Katalin Meixner and Valdis Oskarsdottir took the photographs of me, thank you!

Veritas Rock

"Veritas Rock" is my very first and favorite minature
video of selected photos from 2006.
Bergþór, one of Icelands dear opera singers gives the spirit with his voice.
Pure Icelandic feeling Long before the Big Change..

"Digital Sketchbook" Exhibit October 2008

The Exhibit ”Digital Sketchbook, supersymmetria and architecture” consisted of 180 photographs and sketches. Of real and hypothetical ideas of habitation and new resources.

"Cultural Scape" Exhibit December 2007

"The Pearl in the Deep" 2007 Mixed media/digital/canvas/0il

"FISH-Kiss" detail of an organic roof type 2006

It was a fortuneate event to be invited by the Director of Jacobson House Native Art Center, Russ Tall Chief to exhibit with my friend artist Dante Halleck.

This was part of my manifesto for the work:
"Every moment has a center, some visible Core in it's visible environment, kind of zero in time and space that possibly can enlighten an untold history or be a pattern of unexplored things" My works are all part of a long term study that has to do with "pre-present and future architecture". The lines of patterns, layers and substance in life are the force, that nourish my urge to work spontaneously with various medias in art to get a deeper understanding of progress for habitation.
